Safer Safety Ltd was formed in 1985 when we launched the world's first ever metal detectable earplug - “Detectaplug” - still widely used in the food industry today.

We expanded rapidly during the 1990's but remained focused on unique products. Safer Safety was the first company to introduce genuine "Anti-Slip Footwear" into the UK in 1999 and working closely with the Health & Safety Executive over several decades we helped develop and establish various brands as the market evolved. In 2019 we decided to go into production of our own unique "Grip Brand" of anti-slip footwear.

Grip Footwear draws from over 20 years of experience in anti-slip footwear. It surpasses SR slip rating and provides one of the best levels of slip resistance available.
